Health⁴ is a unique health care delivery model that did not exist in central Ohio until now.

Patients and purchasers of health care are seeking better cost savings, cost management and improved health. The Medical Group of Ohio (MGO) physicians and OhioHealth created Health⁴ to improve the quality and coordination of health care for their patients.

To date, Health⁴ has grown to include more than 1,500 physicians and OhioHealth care sites, including its eight member hospitals.

Health⁴ truly brings all parties together – employers/payers, patients, physicians and providers – in a clinically integrated effort. Clinical integration provides programs and resources to achieve and maintain good health, create cost savings, and improve efficiency and quality. It ensures everyone involved in that patient’s health care is working in coordination to provide the highest quality care.

Health⁴ has a proven track record of success and the marketplace is responding. Health⁴ has contracts with two of the four largest insurance companies in central Ohio (Aetna and Medical Mutual of Ohio) and plans to negotiate with all of them.

The new paradigm is “Pay for Value” not “Pay for Volume.”

As health care delivery and the practice of medicine continues this shift Health⁴ will serve as an important resource for the central Ohio community.
